MINOR Introduced Price Segmentation Support for Catalogs

Merchandisers can now deliver personalized pricing experiences at scale with the new price segmentation capability for catalogs.

What's New?

Added support for price-segmented catalogs, enabling association with hundreds of pricebooks, far beyond the previous 5 pricebook stacking limit.

Introduced the enable_price_segmentation attribute on catalogs:

• When set to true, all available pricebooks at publish time are included in the catalog.
• No need to define stacked pricebooks—simplifying catalog setup for personalized pricing scenarios.
• API responses now reflect rule-based pricing where available and fall back to catalog default pricing if no matching pricebook is found.
• Exposes multiple prices per product for search indexing and administration: meta.available_pricebook_ids and meta.available_prices are included in the hash file.
• Admin API can return all or filtered available prices using the EP-Pricebook-IDs-Of-Available-Prices-To-Show header.

This release significantly reduces catalog maintenance complexity while enabling large-scale personalized pricing.

MINOR Enhanced Date Parsing with Locale Support in PXM Product Import

We've added locale-aware date parsing to Product Template Date fields in PXM Product Import, reducing import failures and improving data accuracy by interpreting dates using region-specific formats.

What's New?

• Commerce Manager automatically detects your browser's locale and applies it to product import requests.
• API supports locale query parameter for en-US, en-GB, and en-CA date formats.
• Unsupported date formats fall back to default parsing, ensuring your imports continue to work.

• Create and assign tags to customer accounts.

MINOR Enhanced Currency Support in Promotions Builder

We've expanded currency support in Promotions Builder to allow promotions to apply across all available currencies, providing greater flexibility for global merchants.

What's New?

• Added "All Currencies" option in the currency dropdown, allowing promotions to apply to all supported currencies
• Rule Promotions still default to the store's default currency, maintaining existing behavior
• Important note: All currencies option works best with percent discounts, as fixed discounts won't factor in exchange rates when applied to multiple currencies

New! Gift with Purchase Promotions​

• You can now use our Promotions builder to create Gift with Purchase (GWP) promotions. Shoppers who qualify for a GWP offer will have the free gift automatically added to their cart, streamlining their experience and making it easier for them to claim their reward.

New! Promotion Carrots: Buy X Get Y (BXGY) Suggestions​

• We've expanded our Promotions builder to include Buy X Get Y (BXGY) product suggestions. For qualifying BXGY offers, our system can now provide front-end suggestions for the 'Y' products. This helps shoppers effortlessly find and add the discounted items to their cart, streamlining their purchasing journey.
• This feature can also be used for free-gift promotions when there is a choice of free-gift options, requesting the shopper to make a choice to add one to the cart.

MAJOR Improvements to Subscription Offerings.

We’ve made some changes to the way subscription offerings are represented to more closely align with customer requirements and to increase the flexibility of offerings.

What's Changed?

• Subscription products are now called plans
• What was previously called a plan is now a pricing option
• Before these changes if more than one product existed in an offering they were treated as a bundle. Now a subscriber must pick a single plan from the subscription offering, increasing flexibility and reducing the number of subscription offerings that need to be maintained.
• Pricing options are assigned to plans so that each plan may have its own pricing options or a subset of pricing options.

MAJOR Boost Average Order Value with Bundle Promotions in Promotions Builder

We’ve launched a powerful new capability in Promotions Builder: Bundle promotions. This empowers merchandisers to create compelling promotions that target groups of items to drive higher order values and increased conversions.

What's New?

• A new option in Promotions Builder allows you to define a group of items as a promotional condition, and apply a discount to the same or different group of items, making it easier to design bundle-based offers.

MINOR Improvements Based on User Feedback

We've enhanced our Promotions Builder to be more user-friendly and to support more promotion conditions.

What's New?

• The notable update is that all the promotion limitations are now under the '+refine' section of the promotion configuration.

When applying filters to list views, Commerce Manager will now recall and default to the query type you most recently used. This capability is valid for basic filters using the is, contains, starts with, ends with and is one of query types.

We’ve made several usability enhancements to the Hierarchies & Nodes feature:

What's New?

• Jump to hierarchy – After searching, quickly jump to a hierarchy to browse its child nodes.
• Filter by hierarchy – Find specific hierarchies in a large list of hierarchies using this new filter.
• Toggle hierarchy badge option – Show or hide the hierarchy badge. It’s now off by default.
• Re-order button – Renamed for clarity—use it to reorder nodes.
• Node details default tab – The “Products assigned” tab now opens by default when viewing node details.
• Adding products to node – Expanded screen size and full table features make it easier to search and assign products to nodes.

MINOR We have added the ability to filter orders by Order Number. The Order Number column can be set to visible on Orders page, and individual orders now reflect their Order Numbers, if available.

We've introduced a new sidebar navigation for Commerce Manager that improves the overall user experience and makes it easier to navigate between different sections. Key improvements include:

• Streamlined menu structure with clearer section grouping
• An easier way to switch between stores and organizations
• Improved visual hierarchy for better readability
• Collapsible sections to reduce clutter

MINOR Enhanced SKUs and SKU-less Item Handling in Promotions Builder.

We've improved SKU and SKU-less item handling in the Promotions Builder. While this change is more noticeable in API requests, the Commerce Manager experience remains unchanged.

• Merchandiser can handle SKU and SKU-less items within a single condition using the new item_identifier strategy.
• The item_identifier strategy is supported in both promotion conditions and actions, providing greater flexibility.
• All existing promotions using item_sku OR item_product_id will remain supported.
• New promotions created in the Commerce Manager Promotions Builder will automatically use the new item_identifier strategy.

MINOR Improved List Pages. We've enhanced the table functionality on our list pages with the following:

• Select which headers show on the table with customizable headers
• View up to 100 items on the page
• Hover over dates to see the date and time details for your location's time zone as well as UTC time zone
• Dynamic search that shows all results with related terms
• Select filters and bookmark the page to return and view the page with selected filters again.

We are making similar changes on list pages across Commerce Manager in the upcoming days.

MINOR We have enabled Custom API Role and Permissions management in Commerce Manager.

For each Custom API, you can assign specific access permissions to each built-in store role.

MINOR Override Stacking in the Promotions Builder.

We added a new flag to provide more stacking flexibility for the merchandisers. The Override Stacking flag can be used alongside the existing stacking capabilities. See Creating Override Stacking Promotion.

MAJOR In Product Experience Manager (PXM), we have introduced a new feature to allow stock to be managed in multiple locations

Multi-location inventories allow more flexibility in managing stock which enables scenarios such as Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store. This change has changed the format of requests and responses to the inventories service and to avoid any breaking changes has not been applied to existing stores that use this service.

MAJOR In Product Experience Manager (PXM), we have introduced Custom Relationships. Known as Product Relationships in Commerce Manager.

Custom Relationships enable merchandisers to link products in ways that strategically enhance the shopping experience. For example, you can establish connections between cross-sell items, suggest upsells, or create themed collections tailored to specific customer interests. Custom relationships can be configured as either bi-directional or uni-directional, offering flexibility in how products relate to each other. These relationships are easily managed through Commerce Manager and the PXM API.

MAJOR In Product Experience Manager (PXM), we have extended Custom Attributes support for Hierarchies and Nodes.

Custom attributes in (PXM) offer a powerful way to store additional metadata for hierarchies, nodes, and prices. These attributes, structured as key-value pairs, enhance flexibility by enabling businesses to tailor data for both internal operations and customer-facing catalogs.

MINOR We have expanded promotions search to include search by promotion name for Promotions Builder. You can search for promotions with the Promotion Name or Coupon Code.

MINOR We have introduced a new coupon code limitation to assign the maximum times a shopper can apply the code. This helps merchants limit the number of times a public coupon code can be used per shopper. For example, you can set a promotion to be used by first 100 shoppers (including or excluding guest shoppers) and each shopper can only use the promotion code once. MINOR We have introduced inclusions support in the Promotions Builder, enabling users to fine-tune the targeting of eligible and discounted items. MAJOR We have introduced the ability to "deep link" in Commerce Manager

We have improved the way we handle organization and store switching. We now have the organization and/or store id stored the url, so you can easily share the url with others and they will be taken to the same organization and store you were in when you copied the url.

You can now have multiple tabs/windows open in your browser and switch between organizations and stores without having to worry about losing your state.

This does mean any bookmarks you have for say https://euwest.cm.elasticpath.com/products will no longer work as expected because it doesn't have the store/organization id in the url. You should instead be redirected to the store selection page and once you select the store you will be taken to the correct page.

MINOR We have introduced the ability to select SKU-less product bundles in the promotion builder's product selector. For more information, see Creating a Cart Items Condition in Commerce Manager.

MAJOR We have introduced a new feature allowing the creation of shipping discount for cart shipping groups. For more information, see Create a Shipping Discount API, and Creating a Shipping Promotion in Commerce Manager.

MAJOR We have introduced a new feature allowing the creation of promotion codes specifically for first time shoppers, who have not yet completed a purchase with the store. Within Commerce Manager, you can now create a single code and select the option to apply it exclusively for first time shoppers. For more information, see Creating a Single Code.
